Digital Memory Album for Little Miss: 5 Months

Hello my Little Sweetpea!

Happy 5 months to you! You are so much more aware of everything now and you want to see, touch, taste and smell EVERYTHING! This month we started solids and I think you might take after me because you love food! So far your favourite foods are Weetbix and yoghurt, pears and apples. You were not a fan of pureed chicken  at all so we might try that a little bit later on icon smile Digital Memory Album for Little Miss: 5 Months

Introducing Solids and Third Degree Burns

To buy, or not to buy. That is the question… Little Miss is almost five months old now and on recommendation from my GP, I decided to start her on solids. I’m pretty keen for the baby lead weaning but after speaking to my Community Health Nurse, decided to go with the purees until she’s six months then we shall start on the BLW. So, off I went to the supermarket and bought the rice mush. Well, Little Miss LOVED it. Eating is her favourite part of the day… The apple certainly did not fall far from the tree, thats for sure. So after a week of that and after doing a bit more research, I decided to introduce some more flavours. This is where I feel like I’m totally out of my depth.

Easiest cake in the world I think. You can really put all sorts of things with it like berries, tropical fruits, you could ice with with butter icing, chocolate icing, royal icing or anything else! Here I used apples and pears because thats what was left in the fridge.
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups self-raising flour, sifted
  • ¾ cup caster sugar

Return of The Newborn

I haven’t written anything on my blog for while. Two weeks actually. Thats because two weeks ago my lovely, calm and happy baby morphed into a screaming, drooling, clawing demon spawn. Harsh? Thats describing her lightly. Think that chick in her nighty crabwalking across her bedroom ceiling whilst spewing and yelling profanities (Exorcist reference). What happened to my baby?

Meet my friend Tara and her Sailor, Joey. They’ve been planning their wedding going on 4 years now. Every time they set a date and start planning, Joey gets deployed with the Navy. I really feel for her in this situation, being a Navy spouse myself and just recently Joey was sent up north, leaving Tara and her two beautiful kids to man the forte. She has, however, just recently been announced as a top 5 finalist in a competition to win the Wedding of her Dreams! How can you help? You can VOTE! Digital Memories for Little Miss – 4 Months

Hello my Little Sweetpea,

Another month has come and gone and it seems to me like the time seems to be speeding up! This month saw us travelling back up to Brisbane and you had your first full melt down! It took me an hour to get you to calm down for Mema. You’ve been perfecting your vocals too. You have your high pitch scream down pat ha ha! You’re also getting pretty good at putting anything that you can reach in your mouth. You also very much enjoy cuddles with Mummy while you have your afternoon nap. In fact it’s the only way you sleep longer than 20 minutes!
